A face emerges against a pale ground, the eyes bound by a dark cloth wound several times around. The lips stay parted, the chin slightly raised. Below the neck the paint comes undone in red, blue and orange runs. The portrait dissolves from the bottom up, as if colour were taking back what the line had fixed.
